Need another Visa While Abroad

Say you're vacationing in Thailand and you decide that you might as well take a jaunt to India while you're in Asia. The problem is that you didn't apply for a Indian visa before you left. What can you do now?

How do youget a visa while abroad? First, it is not illegal to mail your passport back to the US to have a visa added. (That's a common question that we get.)

Before you go mailing off your passport, though, it's important to know what the rules are for carrying your passport while abroad. A country like Thailand requires that foreigners carry their passports with them at all times, namely because it has the visa that says how long they are allowed to stay in the country.

We recommend that you visit the Indian embassy in Thailand to get your visa that way!
