Passport after a Gender Change

Here's another very specific question that won't apply to most people, but it's a very important question for the select few that it applies to. "How do I get a new passport after a gender change?"

What you will need to do to change your gender on your passport is have a signed original statement, on office letterhead, from a licensed physician who has treated you for gender-related care or has evaluated your gender-related medical history. There is a full list of what this letter needs to include if you follow the link above.

All other requirements stand for whether you are getting a new passport or a renewal. If you have legally changed your name as part of the process, you must also submit for a name change.
