Using a Credit Card to Pay for Your Passport

Not everyone has checks laying around, since we usually use credit cards or cash for everything. Our reader, Kathleen, wanted to know if she can write out her credit card information for paying passport fees.

You can use your credit card to pay for your passport in person at a processing facility. If you are applying via mail, you can only send a check, a cashier's check, or a money order. If you send along credit card information, it will be returned as "no payment received."
