The ladies started about 11 o'clock and drove to a place called Rothbury belonging to Mr Parker. Mr J Gatenby the Doc and myself riding. It is about 14 miles off. Had dinner there and some tea and then drove to Barton which is about a mile further off. This place belongs to the Gatenby's. Did not get back till late in the evening and was pretty stiff and sore having ridden some 33 miles an
