Renewing a passport by mail requires less supporting documents than required for a
new, first-time passport. To renew a U.S. passport by mail, the document you need include: ✔ Your most recent, undamaged passport issued within the last 15 years. ✔ A recent passport photo (taken within the last 6 months) ✔ Evidence of name change
