Goosenecks State Park Utah

1000 feet below the San Juan river slowly winds its way along. From a viewpoint at Goosenecks State Park it can be seen in what has been described as one of the most striking examples of an entrenched river meander in North America. The water flows through 5 miles of canyon yet progresses only 1 mile westward.. One can see the twists and turns or meanders of the river from the overlook.
