CNN Go has an interesting article up called Antarctica: Final Frontier Travel, which outlines one of the last places on earth left with hardly any tourist activity ? Antarctica.

Several companies are trying to change that, though, with tours being offered leaving from several civilized areas around the world. "You can?t protect what you don?t know," many say. These tours are set to teach people about the beauty of Antarctica so more people will attempt to save it.

The expedition tours include landings in frozen valleys and at the bases of volcanoes, personal encounters with wildlife, and visits to historic sites.
