Getting a Passport with no Birth Certificate

It's pretty common for people born in the early 20th century to not have a birth certificate, since many people were born at home with a midwife. How can you get a passport if you don't have a birth certificate?

You will need a few items to get a passport without a birth certificate - A letter of no record and a combination of early public records.

A letter of no record is a state-issued letter that says you do not have a birth certificate.

Early public records include baptismal certificates, census record, etc.

Good luck getting your passport!
