If you are reading this article, that's wonderful! It means two things to me: 1) you were given the opportunity to learn such a skill, and 2) you have had some type of access to real hand-held books at certain points in life. Applying for an Expedited Passport Renewal in New Jersey
American citizens in New Jersey can apply for expedited passport renewals by mailing the application, visiting a regional passport agency or employing the services of a registered expediting courier service.
The estimated processing time for renewal applications that are mailed to the address on Form DS-82 is two to three weeks. Applicants should add the expedited service fee of $60 to their payment and write the word "Expedite" on the outside of the envelope.
Those who need to renew a passport within 14 days or 30 days if a visa is also required can schedule an appointment at a regional agency. The closest agencies to New Jersey are located in New York and Philadelphia. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-877-487-2778. An alternative for anyone not able to visit a regional agency is to authorize a third party to submit the application for them. This can be a friend, family member, travel agent or an expedited passport courier service. Written authorization must be presented to the agent. Note, you cannot apply for a renewal by mail if your previously-issued passport was issued when you were age 15 or younger, expired more than 5 years ago or is significantly damaged. If any of these apply, you must appear in person in order to get a new passport. There are currently 275 passport offices in New Jersey. Restoring the Past
Thursdays mission was to head to Himeji on the Shinkansen. I was up earlier than Wednesday but when I got to Kyoto station I had to wait almost an hour for the next train where I could reserve a seat. It was worth the wait though because the rail pass allows me to reserve a seat in Green class which is much nicer than the regular class which is what I travelled in from Tokyo on Sunday

What are the steps for renewing a child's passport?
A passport issued to a minor age 16 or younger cannot be renewed by mail using form DS-82. The tragedy of the massive earthquake, ensuing tsunami and volatile nuclear situation that continues to unfold across the Pacific in Japan has wrenched the hearts of sympathetic Americans. It is difficult to imagine the devastation and loss already, let alone begin to conceive a return to normal ? especially as a nuclear threat still looms.
With that said, Delta Air Lines resumed its normal flight schedule to Tokyo on Monday after canceling flights over the weekend. Even as threats of radiation leaks grew higher yesterday, Delta and American Airlines said normal operations would continue.
Other than those involved with relief efforts, I wonder how many will be traveling as normal to Tokyo or the rest of Japan. The U.S. government has issued a travel alert, urging Americans to avoid travel to Japan over the next month. On Monday, however, Delta said it continues to see strong bookings.

The tragedy of the massive earthquake, ensuing tsunami and volatile nuclear situation that continues to unfold across the Pacific in Japan has wrenched the hearts of sympathetic Americans. It is difficult to imagine the devastation and loss already, let alone begin to conceive a return to normal ? especially as a nuclear threat still looms.
With that said, Delta Air Lines resumed its normal flight schedule to Tokyo on Monday after canceling flights over the weekend. Even as threats of radiation leaks grew higher yesterday, Delta and American Airlines said normal operations would continue.
Other than those involved with relief efforts, I wonder how many will be traveling as normal to Tokyo or the rest of Japan. The U.S. government has issued a travel alert, urging Americans to avoid travel to Japan over the next month. On Monday, however, Delta said it continues to see strong bookings.
